Things & Things.

::
-My story HOLD ON, HOLD ON is up @ Five [Quarterly]! Thank you thank you to the editors, Vanessa & Crissy, and the guest editors toooo for selecting my story and for their kindness. This story is my Violet Story #2. #1, “What The Fireworks Are For” is up @ Juked and #3, “Cheap Beer & Sparklers” is here, originally published @ The Weekenders Magazine. Plans were to go up to Brooklyn for the Issue No. 2 launch party this weekend but alas, we can’t make it!
Hopefully things like that will be more doable soon. ! A lot of this stuff is still v. new to me…readings/launch parties/being published in thingsss. I still feel like The Luckiest Girl, just being invited.
-These Violet stories are abt some girls and some boys and some marriages and some breakups and some kinda crazy other stuff too. I am working on #4 @ the mo. I really love writing her and her now-exhusband, Dominic, and her boyfriend, Roscoe Pie and her best friend, Cori, and just, everything.
-I have a Kentucky Hippie Commune story in the KY Flash Anthology coming out soon from KY Story. Thank you to Ashley Parker Owens for including me! I love Kentucky a whole lot.
-And! Xe Sands recorded herself reading my story, “Cold, Sweet Grapes,” which was first published in Little (Flash) Fiction in September. Here’s the story link. Xe has a beautiful voice and it’s still the weirdest thing, hearing someone else read my story, but it’s so v. cool. Thank you, Xe. !
-Also, we’ve got stories all lined up until the end of the year + a little more over @ WhiskeyPaper! Send us yr story if y’re of the writerish-kind! I promise to be nice, I do.

-Also! Got the newest TSwizzle! My baby girl and I love Taylor Swift. She’s totes Our Girl. Our daughter is eight years old and what a beautiful gift I’ve been given to know her and to be her mama and to dance in the kitchen w/her to our favorite songs. And also, everything. And the same for our son. Yesterday, my son and I took an autumn walk and it’s just really cool b/c you have these kids and these kids grow up way too quickly but they turn into the most amazing, beautiful wide-eyed little creatures. Yes, stoked for fall, new music and comfy-cozies!
