“From the Daily Press, the Deepest Nest, in Keepers Keep.”
WRITERISH THINGS:

-My story, Five Sketches of a Story About Death, is up at matchbook! And I’m stoked and they’re awesome and they’ve said such nice things (they wrote the sweetest: YOU WILL LOVE IT YOU WILL NOT NOT LIKE IT on the blog) and do please check them out.
-ALSO: “Whiskey & Ribbons” will be included in Carve Magazine’s 2011 Anthology! (I’m also finished w/the first draft of “Whiskey & Ribbons” THE NOVELLA. I love writing these characters and it became something bigger but not too-too much bigger. Like, 150 paperback pages. But I do love it/will always love it/think other people may love it too.)
-My completed short story collection is called EVERYONE BREAKS EVERYONE’S HEART. And I’m hoping that someone will love it as much as I do and wanna make it into a pretty little book that other people can buy. (I am trying to be patient about that. I am querying/waiting to query/doing my research/and also, waiting.) But! I believe in my little collection and I haven’t decided whether I wanna include the novella and have it be a novella + 12 short stories or if I want it to be something separate.
-ALSO: && I have a little short-short called “Three Ways to Say No” that’ll be up @ DOGZPLOT soon and I’ll come back let you know wassup.
-ALSO: I’m moonlighting as a Hobart Pulp reader/intern/twitterer. I really love Hobart/everything they do. Aaron is so nice, Elizabeth is so nice and they’re both crazy-talented and sweet and I really didn’t know anyone @ all when I started submitting and poking around litmags/small presses and I have been so blessed and lucky to meet such kind, helpful people. SO SHOUT OUT TO ALL’A'Y’ALL. And I mean it.
-ALSO: this picture was my first real Hobart tweet if that tells you anything. Anything @ all.

OTHERISH THINGS:
-I didn’t really listen to Led Zeppelin in high school and I kinda feel like I should reintroduce myself to the ppl I knew back then. Esp. since now I’ll go for days and it’s all I’ll listen to. Also today I listened to “Anna Begins” by Counting Crows on repeat while I put chicken chili in the crockpot. (Six times.)
-It’s been so warm here in Kentucky. So warm that I fear I won’t have spring fever when it’s actually spring, but I do have it now. AND YOU CAN TELL B/C WHEN I’M IN THE CAR I HAVE MY COFFEE AND I HAVE MY WINDOWS DOWN AND I HAVE MY CLASSIC ROCK STATION ON LOCK B/C THAT’S ME DOING ME.
-SONS OF ANARCHY. That’s all we’re watching right now. We’re on season two. Oh, and Justified. Those are both my jams.
-Stoked about SELECTION SUNDAY and March Madness.
-I GOT MY SHIRT IN THE MAIL AND I LOVE MY SHIRT.
