-My short story collection manuscript "Everyone Breaks Everyone's Heart" was a finalist for the 2012 Flannery O'Connor Short Fiction Award and a semifinalist for the 2012 Iowa Short Fiction Award.
-"Whiskey & Ribbons" was Editor's Choice in Carve Magazine's 2011 Raymond Carver Short Story Contest and was recognized as one of The Million Writers Award Notable Stories of 2011.
